Dr. Chuck Gibson Speaks at Practice Innovation 2011

Dr. Chuck Gibson will be presenting at the first evening of Practice Innovation 2011, on Building an Upper Cervical Chiropractic Practice. He will also be a part of the special open forum section later on that evening.

Who is Dr. Chuck Gibson?

Dr. Chuck Gibson’s contributions to the chiropractic profession as a teacher, leader, pioneer and true visionary are internationally known and greatly valued. He is a man of uncompromising philosophy, and his standards of excellence in practice and patient management have become the framework for thousands of successful chiropractors Chuck Gibsonworldwide.

Dr. Gibson practiced exclusively as an upper cervical chiropractor for the first 15 months of opening his practice in Sacramento, California. Within 13 months, he was seeing an average of 400 patient visits a week.

By the 15th month, he became a Grostic upper cervical practitioner which is now known as NUCCA. He practiced Grostic upper cervical and NUCCA exclusively for the next five years and growing the practice to 600 visits a week with one associate. He then added other chiropractic techniques and the practice grew 850 patient visits a week which he sustained for the next 25 years.

According to Dr. Gibson, “one cannot out give his profession or position in life.” Throughout his long career, he has given many times over, serving as a Representative Assemblyman in the International Association, as a co-founder of the International Chiropractic Association of Califormia and was a co-founder and past president of the Society of Chiropractic Management Consultants.

In 1967, Dr. Gibson founded the prestigious Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table and served as its chairman for five years and is now honored as chairman emeritus for life.

The National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association is pleased to announce its second annual seminar on practice growth and development: Practice Innovation 2011.

This seminar features instructors who are highly successful upper cervical doctors with a diversity of expertise who will be sharing their practice principles, experiences, and insights to help create a prosperous, fulfilling upper cervical practice. (This is not a technical instruction seminar.)

The range of topics and speakers present is available at the NUCCA website.

One of the unique features of this short but sweet practice building seminar is it’s unique format: both nights will feature a several hour open forum with a panel of experts (and cash bar) allowing a free and open exchange on business principles from a variety of perspectives.

NUCCA Introduces Student Scholarship Program!

NUCCA is initiating an essay contest for students who can answer the question “Why NUCCA?” Complimentary conference fees will be awarded to one student winner per chiropractic college. Canadian Complimentary & Alernative Medicine Policy Conference

The Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy in Canada: A Better Approach Conference will be held on September 26th, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver, BC. The presentations and panel discussions at the conference are intended to provide insight into the regulation of natural health products and CAM practitioners. The conference will also discuss how the structure of health care insurance in Canada might be better structured to allow for greater freedom in the choice of health care services and providers for Canadians. The registration deadline is September 21st, 2009.

Pilot Leg Check Reliability Study

This past weekend a pilot study for a Supine Leg Check (SLC) Training Course was conducted at Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW), instructed by Dr. Michael Zabelin. This course is based on requirements for the SLC NIH proposal. The intra-inter examiner reliability results will be submitted for the ACC/RAC Conference in March 2010. If accepted, a 2,000 word manuscript will be published in Journal of Chiropractic Education (peer reviewed, Pub Med). As a follow-up, in October, a large scale SLC reliability study will be conducted at LCCW.
